Nisim had a very successful restaurant for years in Bellingen, NSW called Za'atar. ![]()
After Oct 7th, locals boycotted his business simply because he was Israeli. They made him feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome in the town, and he didn't feel at home anymore. A few months ago, he decided to pack up with his wife and 3 kids and move to Melbourne to be closer to the Jewish community and his close friends. He wanted to bring his love for Israeli/ Middle Eastern street food to Melbourne to fill our tummy's up with goodness. ![]()
He is having a soft opening today for a few hours. ![]()
